Bringing people together

May 15, 2015

I feel I should defend the writers of the open letter to Pope Francis that was published in the Chronicle. As far as I know, we still have free speech in this country. If those who are dismayed by the open letter want to publicly express themselves, they can pay for their own open letter to Pope Francis in the Chronicle. Apart from that, I understand the disappointment as expressed by the writers of the letter. Pope Francis represents the same dogma of the Catholic Church, but his emphasis is on the poor. Pope Francis brings people together, including non-Catholics.
